2010 CR-V Owner's Manual Reveals Secrets Honda PR Won't Tell

The CR-V is receiving its MMC (mid-cycle model change) this fall, but Honda has been holding off on releasing any details until around September 10th.

That's okay, because TOV member and supersleuth "Gary757" came across a pdf copy of the 2010 CR-V owner's manual recently and took the time to make some comparisons to the 2009 model.

The manual contains several line drawings of the vehicle which reveal the changes to the front and rear of the vehicle.

In these two diagrams, you can see the changes between the front of the 2009 model (top) and the 2010 model (bottom).

In these two diagrams, you can see the differences in the styling of the rear of the vehicle. The top image is the 2009 model, the lower image is the 2010 version

Additionally, several new interior features are revealed in the features sections. These new features include: an iPod-compatible USB port is now found in the upper glovebox (on EX and EX-L models), a new compass (on EX and EX-L models), automatic headlights (EX-L only) larger new forward folding rear headrests, and Bluetooth Handsfree Link on EX-L models equipped with navigation.

And finally, the specifications page shows that the engine specs remain largely unchanged, but the compression ratio has been bumped up from 9.7:1 to 10.5:1. Coincidentally, the Accord's (more powerful) 2.4L 4-cylinder engine also runs a 10.5:1 compression ratio. I think you can draw your own conclusions there.

Also note that the 2010 model is listed as being 1.4inches longer. We're 99% certain that's all due to the revised front and rear styling.
