Summary
Overall, the TL Type-S is a very fast and very comfortable sedan. It's easily the highest peforming Acura (or Honda) sedan ever sold in the US, and it manages to blend this with levels of refinement that approach that of the $50000 RL. It will be interesting to see what the future holds in store for the car, as all the rumors point to SH-AWD making it into the mix for the 2009 TL. We'd rather see Acura take a different approach that won't introduce even more mass to the equation, but barring that, we're holding out hope that the next generation TL will continue to be offered with the 6-speed transmission option so we can finally fully experience the full benefits of SH-AWD. For now, the TL is pretty close to the pinnacle of front-wheel-drive performance, technology, and luxury.
