Our first destination was Georgia's beautiful highways, in particular Highway 60, which provides some nice scenery and also strings together some nice curves. The CL Type-S felt more at home on these higher speed corners than Deal's Gap's more demanding tight switchbacks.

We made a stop for some Carolina BBQ in Heath Shuler's hometown. Good eats for cheap!

We take a quick break before we head off to the Cherohala Skyway.

The Cherohala Skyway takes you from 930ft elevation to 5390 ft over a very scenic and twisty 36 miles of pristine asphalt. It stretches from around Robbinsville, North Carolina to Tellico Plains, Tennessee, and provides a very rewarding drive in either of the Type-S vehicles we had (not to mention our S2000 "camera car")

Driving the Type-S car across miles and miles of wonderful curves such as this in the Cherohala Skyway was a supreme pleasure! With very little traffic, I was in road trip heaven.

As the elevation got higher and (much colder), the strong J series motor in the CL-S became a monster! The colder temperatures more than made up for the thinner air and the CL-S was able to blast away from the RSX-S in the straights. I found myself thinking that I could very much get used to the torque provided by the J-series motor.
