Honda F1 fans surely caught Honda's performance at yesterday's Japan GP. Several of our readers attended the race but here's the first report we've received from TOV reader 'AkiraNSX', along with a video clip and some photos.
Here's what he had to say:
Hi Jeff,
Just got back to Tokyo from the F1 Japanese Grand Prix. The Honda
booth displayed a Civic Type R prototype with blacked out windows. I
also saw the Civic Type R official car in action, but not up close
enough, unfortunately. Also unfortunate is that I don't have very
good video equipment, nor a decent current digital camera for that
matter. At the Honda booth, they showed a short video clip of Jensen
Button testing the Civic Type R. Not being very skilled at
bootlegging, and with just my 4 year old digital camera, this is what
I got. Please use (or not use) it as you like...
-video clips were shot off the LED video wall at the booth, my camera
can only shoot 30secs at a time, so it is cut in the middle
somewhere. There was sound with the video but the ambient sound from
the Honda booth completely drowned it out, except for a few seconds
of high revving engine sound.
- Photos are from the Honda booth. I don't have good enough zoom to
shoot the Official Car in action. |
