PARIS ? Honda Motor Co President Hiroyuki Yoshino said Thursday the output of Honda cars in Europe in the first eight months of this year has exceeded the carmaker's projections, rising 63% from the previous year against a projected 53% increase for the year.
Yoshino told a press conference that the sales target was on mark, rising 11% in January-August, the pace earmarked for this year. Honda has planned to raise the level of local production in Europe to 175,000 cars this year, an increase of 53% from the previous year, while the sales target this year was set at 189,000 cars.
