9:32AM--The good news is, we're here. The bad news is we arrived here about 3 hours later than expected. To save on airfare (substantially), I opted to route my flight from Atlanta through Cincinnati, rather than nonstop. The scheduled layover was about two hours. Due to delays with no reasonable explanation, the layover was five hours. The result? We arrived at our hotel a little after 2AM local time. I was unable to fall asleep. Today should be a lot of fun.

I had heard snow was in today's forecast, but I didn't know how much to expect. The dbSeq=null" target="_blank">Weather Channel now says it could be 7-12 inches. Even more fun. We're going to be jumping on the shuttle to Cobo Hall in about a half hour (we're camped out in Dearborn) - hopefully we'll make it to the hall in time for lunch. Our first planned press conference to attend is General Motors, where the C6 Corvette is going to debut. Later in the afternoon Honda will be unveiling the SUT.

11:04AM-- The fun continues. I watched our shuttle bus pull away from our hotel at 10:05. It was scheduled to depart at 10:10 and I was trying to cram down an english muffin and a spoonful of oatmeal. Tuan had run back to his room to grab his jacket. Interestingly, taxis go in increments of $40 around here. We're heading down to the floor now.

1:37PM-- Chrysler showed a really sharp sports car concept called the ME FOUR-TWELVE. V-12, quad turbo mid-engine supercar. They also displayed some Hummer-crushing Jeep concept called the Rescue, a small sportscar concept called the Sling Shot, and another tiny Jeep concept, called the Treo. The Daimler Chrysler stand has been flooded with members of the press and industry since their conference started at 11:45. Photos are uploading...

Acura has the HSC concept on display and Honda will be showing the Kiwami.

The Corvette C6 will be unveiled at a special ceremony offsite this evening.

3:50PM-- Some SUT Concept Photos are coming... Other photos will be moved to a gallery to be released later. Here are some photos to start.
