'Acura Presents Santana' Tour Launches in August

Torrance, Calif. 06/17/2002 -- The "Acura Presents Santana" Tour, a two-month, 12-date concert series featuring legendary guitar player Carlos Santana, kicks off August 4 at the Tweeter Center at the Waterfront in Philadelphia. The tour is the third concert series to be sponsored by Acura following Paul Simon last year and John Fogerty in 2000.
"Santana embodies the passion and refinement associated with Acura vehicles," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president, automobile sales. "So we look at this tour as a valuable opportunity to enhance the awareness of our brand among our target audience."
After Philadelphia, the tour visits Boston; Holmdel, N.J.; New York; Detroit; Chicago; San Antonio; and San Francisco before concluding October 25 at the Coors Amphitheatre in San Diego, Calif.
The "Acura Presents Santana Tour" will feature on-site displays of Acura vehicles, and an Acura VIP hospitality tent for invited Acura owners. "Acura Presents Santana" Tour information can be obtained at www.acura.com and www.santana.com. Tickets can be obtained through Ticketmaster.
