These photos were sent to us by a third party, but apparently they were taken by Shawn Upchurch, a member of the 3rd generation TL group on FaceBook.
This one looks much like the TLX that was spied in Chicago a few weeks ago.
Hopefully we'll learn more about the upcoming TLX soon, but for now we're expecting the all-new 3.0L DOHC V6 Turbo (single turbo) to debut in the TLX Type S later this year. There's no word on power levels but we've heard that this car will aiming to take on the Audi S4, which has 350hp. So we're thinking it may end up somewhere north of that, but maybe not the full 400hp that Infiniti currently offers with their top-level twin-turbo 3.0 V6. Another question that's out there is will there be a de-tuned spec of the 3.0T for non Type S trims of the TLX? Obviously, there could be but we don't know Acura's plans on that front.
Obviously SH-AWD will be part of the equation, and we're expecting the 10-speed automatic transmission to handle the power delivery. Lower trims of the TLX are expected to get a 2.0L Turbocharged 4-cylinder powertrain, also featuring the 10-speed automatic transmission. It's unknown at this point whether or not SH-AWD will be offered on the 2.0T models, but we do hope it is.
