One of our longtime readers has been signed up for email updates concerning the Civic Si via Honda's US website.

Today he received the following email which reveals that the new Civic Si will offer 192 lb-ft of torque. We still don't know the horsepower, but we do know that the Si will feature a version of the standard Civic's turbocharged 1.5L 4-cylinder engine. We should know a lot more about the Si in a matter of a few weeks.





We have dyno tested a stock 2017 Civic Sport with the 6MT and it delivered pretty impressive results. And then we dyno tested it with a Hondata reflash. Could Hondata's tune serve as a preview for the Civic Si's figures, or will the Si benefit from upgraded hardware such as a different turbocharger, camshafts, valve springs, etc?
