Here is a globeandmail.com article on the Accord 6-speed: "The 6-speed gearbox is actually a derivative of the unit found in Acura's 3.2CL Type S. As is the recipe for Honda, the shifter is silky smooth, offering short throws without any "Am I in gear?" guesswork. Unfortunately, the 6-speed Accord also shares a similar clutch feel with the CL. Both cars use one of the most finicky setups I've ever had the misfortune of trying to manipulate. From the bottom the pedal moves out smoothly, but about a quarter of the way up it suddenly pops forward, resulting in jerky starts and difficulty balancing to engine speeds on downshifts. For the record, my co-driver did seem to take to the setup better than I did, so maybe it's just my two left feet." More at the link below.
