Wow, Honda will "finally" focused on green technologies. It looks like it produces bulky V12 and V8 till now... What Mr. Ito tried to say us? Honda always has ecology in mind. But previously, it was possible to combine both ecology and sports DNA in one. Honda made small displacement engines with high output, impressive performance and fun to drive. Now Mr. Ito says: we will be green as before, but without sportscars. WHAT A DECISION!

Hey, Ito-san - you are right: Honda doesn´t need a V10 supercar. But are you sure Honda REALLY doesn´t need ANY SPORTSCAR? What about building TYPICAL HONDA SPORSCAR? Light, small displacement, high output cars, which can compete more powerful competition? For now and in the future, the top of the range Honda sportscar will be a 200 hp Civic? And it will be supported with 120hp CRZ with redline at 6300? What a lineup! Come on!

We really don´t need a V10 supercar. But what about some smart Nissan 370Z competitor? For example with 2.4 or 3.0 DOHC VTEC and RWD, both coupe and roadster? Is it really unacceptable for a SPORTS BRAND Honda, when all the japanese competition has a sportscar lineup or is going to have? Mazda - MX-5, Mazdaspeed 3, RX-8 and RX-7 coming soon. Nissan Z and GT-R, Infiniti G37 Coupe and Cabrio, Toyota with new hachiroku coming soon, Celica(?), FT-HS (?), Lexus IS F, LFA, Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart, Lancer Ralliart, Evo, Eclipse, Subaru AE86 clon, Impreza WRX, STI...

Does Honda really want to drop most of its enthusiasts or believe they will be satisfied with this two cars? I hope CRZ will be a really good sporty car but redline at 6300 isn´t very promising in this moment.

Ironically, for all the car´s manufactures is now ecology a main goal, but they know how to combine it with a sports lineup. For example BMW and Renault has (in Europe) better average CO2 emissions than Honda.

Wong has a very interesting message, I copied highlights bellow, because I totally agree with him, I am in the same position, I founded a Honda Club in the Czech republic seven years ago and I am still running a website, I defended Honda in last entuhusiastic-difficult times, but I am slowly losing my passion. Probably soon can happen I will keep a Honda family car, but not a sporscar.

...and promised Wong´s message highlights:

...I am one of the hardest-core Honda freaks in the world.
I am recognized by many to be one of the hardest core Honda supporter in the world, to the extent that I have often been accused of giving 'blind allegiance' to whatever Honda does'. Blindly defending them.

...My future family car will remain a Honda, probably the forthcoming Honda Fit/Jazz Hybrid.

... My fun car -must- be sporty in looks and have a respectable level of performance. I am not looking for stupendous power. I am looking for something which is a worthy replacement for the DA6.

...More and more I am finally getting to the point where I will ditch my blind dedication to Honda and go get myself something else.

I was holding out for the CR-Z but what is shown in the TMS is the final straw. In this sense, Honda has lost me.

I don't mind Honda going green, but I do mind them being yellow*.
