based on the comments that Acura would be re-focused to deliver the performance that luxury market expects... perhaps the performance vehicles will be Acuras, not Hondas...

No, that quote was either misread or misinterpretated. Ito clearly said that the focus will be on environmental performance. The difference he made was that they intended those environmentally friendlier vehicles to even funnier to drive than less environmentally conscious vehicles. That combination is to be the main focus/aim for "the new Acura".

They are going after those "advanced premium customers" demanding both enviromental performance and driving fun.

Probably not what you wanted to say...but well stated in its incorrect form.

Sorry about that, typing too fast lateley.
Should have said " The difference he made was that they intended those environmentally friendlier vehicles to be even funnier to drive than ..."

You could say it with fewer words : "The new Acura's aim is to prove that that environmentally friendly cars can be very fun to drive", and "that's where most ex-F1 engineers are working right now".

Lol. I'm pretty sure he was referring to the use of the word "funnier" instead of "more fun".

Or am I missing your sarcasm? ;-]

This whole post is LOL.

on a seperate note, what's environmental performance? are we talking hardcore carbon emission reductions with little to no power YEAH or are we talking not as much caron emission reductions as could be possible but can go very fast?

What's the performance indicator supplementing? Speed or environment?

Nah, made the same English mistake somewhere else in the forum.
It was supposed to say "more fun", not "funnier".

Sorry again about that; still learning :)

Don't apologise - it was a great Freudian slip! I'd auto-corrected it in my mind until it was pointed out.

I'm just imagining how funny a TL Hybrid 1.5 with real buck teeth for a grille and a beaver tail would be to drive!
