Not only is it the fact that they've long given up fighting in 2008, and thrown as much resources as they could have into the 2009 car, but also all the new tech like KERS? Despite freeze on engine development and whatnot I can see technology developed for KERS be eventually transferred to road cars. With all the new rules, performance rankings next year are also an unknown - maybe - just maybe - they will be able to move up the pack. What unfortunate timing. And I thought Honda was doing well in comparison to all the other car companies. Its really too bad to see them go this way - despite it being the right thing to do, possibly for the survival of Honda, a decision made for money over heritage and philosophy. And this is only the 4th year they have raced as a manufacturer?

I sure hope Button will find a ride - it would also be a shame to see him stop racing.
