Given just about all its competition has much more power or just had a major power boost, I though Honda would have given the Si a slight boost even if it was just a power increase under the curve. Im certainly not asking for a 250hp Civic Si but a nice 215-220hp and a 3-5lb bump in torque certainly wouldnt hurt it as well as power under the curve which is more important than peak numbers. OTOH one can still can purchase bolt-ons and Hondata =).

Im am however glad to see Honda FINALLY adding fog lights as standard equipment on the Si ......although Id like HIDs too.

I'd like to see a bump in HP as well but I am not expecting anything huge. If it gets 10HP I'd be suprised.

I thought slushbox means an auto transmission?

I think you are asking for a Civic Type R.

ha i stand corrected. so i guess my question really was...is there any chance the Si will be available with an auto? with or without paddle shifters...im just doing to much in my car to be able to deal with a total manual. but i want the Si.

How do you do too much to deal with a manual?

No, probably not. If your heart is really set on an automatic, you're going to have to look elsewhere.

Perhaps you should simplify your life if you can't pay enough attention to the task of driving to shift your own gears.

A DSG transmission option for the Si would be great. Best of both worlds, IMO.

The only thing that the Civic Si really needs in addition to the 09 enhancements would be a 5-10lb bump in torque and maybe, if at all possible round the hp up to a flat 200hp like they were originally aiming for with this car. It wouldn't be to far fetched for that to happen considering the very mild bumps in the ridgeline and fit. All I know is that when I get mine next year, the first thing I'll be doing is getting my greddy bolt on turbo kit so I can boost it to 250hp and 200lb ft tq. I can't wait!
