That is kind of underwhelming. It would be very interesting to see this overlayed with a plot from a J30 rated at 244 HP.

I have yet to see one anywhere. Auto or manual.

I, too, would love to see how much power the J30A5 puts to the ground and how it compares with this new engine, and the J30A4. If the J30A4 automatic managed 196 WHP and 175 WTQ, then the J30A5 automatic should put down slightly more power. Then again, all 2006-07 Accord V6's come with heavy 17" wheels, so they might actually put down less power than the 2003 to 2005 V6 models.

I was a little disappointed when TOV didn't test the 2006 Accords. I thought they would be more eager than anyone to see the power difference between the J30A4 and the J30A5, not to mention the K24A4 versus the K24A8. But I guess not...They made sure to test the 2006 TSX in both 5AT and 6MT form though.

But maybe they can still come through for us after all? C'mon guys, it can't be too hard to find a 2006 or 2007 Accord V6 that you can test. There's only one on every block :p

Hell, if I lived anywhere close to TOV, I'd be more than willing to let you guys test my 2007 Accord V6 Sedan 5AT. Unfortunately, I don't, and I don't have time for a road trip anytime soon...

Dude i ain't worried about J30A4 and I will gladly give a J30a4 a pounding on the street as a *good substitute* for a dyno. Who cares, we know we got the good engine and whats funny is eventhough it's shod with 17 inch wheels, I go beyond that and pump up the tire pressure to like way higher then door jam and my car still rocks! Seriously, with theLEDS and 1s the J30A5 beats the J30A4 right off the bat and then you figure in more power and better gas mileage (I am getting mid 24s and running it hard!), the J30A5 is unequivically a better car and get this..this is hilarious..it's still low profile and avoids the cops just like J30A4. I have only gotten pone ticket since my two years and that was for speeding (I was trying to get around someone to take a quick right 1 mile farther) and the cop was *right behind me* to boot. I know it's not invisible guys but it's still conservative Accord despite LEDs and dual chrome polished exhaust tips and that's what so cool about the J30A5 Accord, dyno or no dyno.

i am not sure the 17" wheel is that much heavy than 16" ones. I recently weighted one of the 17" Aluminum alloy wheels. It weights ~ 48lb according to a regular home scale.
