For me this is just another episode in the continuing disappointment with the drivetrain on this vehicle. I would like to see a dyno run of the manual without vcm to see the difference, especially in mid-range torque.

While I'm glad to see the improvements to the I4, without additional low end power and the additional weight of the new model that engine isn't as attractive as it was a generation or two ago. Hopefully the mmc will bring us a 6speed automatic and an engine better than that in the camry.

I would LOVE to a Dynorun on a V6 MT.... Im sure the VCM is cosing some loss in HP....

Uh, okay. You are suggesting the Camry is better?

Last time I checked (which is when I drove them) the Camry sucked ass and the Accord rocked.

The Honda is WAY more fun to drive. If you guys want to get out your rulers and compare measurements, go ahead. I'll be out there tearing up the corners!

Now how do you suppose that would happen? With the improved handling characteristics, lower center of gravity and better stability, lest we forget my minding the rules of the road....

You can't adequately measure low end on this pole, which was clearly explained in the conditions. Considering the redline is at 6800, and the pull doesn't begin until about 4500, which was also explained in the notes, that is more of a top end pull. Mid range would be more like 2500/3K to about 4500-5K, so you are seeing a very limited amount of "mid range".

6800 RPM (redline) - 750 RPM (idle) = 6050 RPM total power band. 6050/3 (low/mid/high) = 2016 RPM per section of powerband.

So realistically "bottom" end would be about 750-2800, mid is about 2800-4800, and top is the rest. You can only see about 300RPM worth of mid range.
