I know this was discussed here already awhile back but I can't seem to find the thread. I ordered a 2007 Honda Civic sedan LX which will be arriving at the end of Sept or early Oct and I want to buy a sun deflector for the front windshield to protect my dash and keep the interior cooler. I believe the best one on the market is called Heat Shield? Is this correct? It is custom fit to your car I think? Is their a phone number I can call or website I can visit to order one? Does any Honda dealers carry this item? What is the price?

Thanks for your help!

They are called Heat Shields. The web site is http://www.canvasworks.com/main.html

But you can get them from HandAaccessories for quite a bit cheaper than ordering directly. I think mine came to $28 shipped.

Hmm, and I thought only little old ladies used those. :p

A little old lady wouldn't even be able to get this thing in the window its so huge.

My thermometer showed about a 35-40 degree reduction in interior temps after sitting in the sun all day. If that classifies me as a little old lady, then I'll gladly accept it for the significantly cooler car therefore non-broken sun visors.

I got mine about a month ago from handaaccesories.

It works great when installed, covers the entire window and really does keep it cooler.

However, it is a bit of a pain to put in and take out. It does not fold, you can only roll it. Once rolled it is still pretty big. Very difficult to roll when inside the car, almost have to take it out of the car everytime you want to roll it back up.

Good luck!
