Wonder why he can accuse the FIA with such imunity. For the same thing last year, HF1 was being pushed around by the FIA for even daring to insist they are playing within the rules.

But I think it's time this loud-mouth gets his come-upence. I remember his arrogrance early in this season, talks like

'competition ? where't the competition ? no one even gave us a challenge'.

They are all there in the archives of whatever F1 site one likes to frequent, shouldn't be hard to hunt one down since he's issued numerous such arrogant statements. Words like that have a strange way of coming back to haunt the arrogance. Also while he accuses the FIA of playing around with the rules to allow Ferrari to come back into the competition, he should also keep in mind that Renault won last year because the FIA was also playing around with the rules, in an effort to avoid Ferrari continued domination, the no tyre change rule being the key point. So the ball rolls both ways.

Yeah but that ball seems to roll too often in the "F1's big red" team's garage ;-) Although I'm not a fan of Renault or cocky paisan Briatore, he did have a valid crying point. The mass damper was in use by the team since last year and all passed pre/post inspections. Big red had the same system but couldn't get it to work as good as Renault did. The issue became an issue when somebody had to complain to FIA about the legality of this system and apparently it's on the verge of proliferating so they elected to ban the system. Then to make matters worse for Renault, FIA said the decision is on appeal and teams can use it without retribution but then Whiting reverse it again in just a short time. Wouldn't you get frustrated and suspect it as a manipulation of the governing power? His frustration probably amounted to that they submitted the system to Whiting's group and approved it as legal for the longest time then all of the sudden it was banned for the lame excuse that it is a moveable aero device.

Briatore was sucking up to the FIA for so long (even major F1 sites are mentioning this) and he should know how sneakly the FIA is with regards to this. He shouldn't be surprised at how the FIA handled this mass damper issue, if any, he should be pleasantly happy they are doing it this way, instead of having the car go through extra long scrutineering and then suddenly finding an illegal damper inside the nose and then being threatened with race bans and being called a cheater/lyer. Man, Renault had it easy for this !
