Does having the Navi invite theft? Has anyone every had a Navi stolen or heard of it?

I really want the nav in the SI, but I worry...

Your car is not any more likely to get broken into or stolen just because it has nav. If someone wants to take something bad enough - they will.

and even if they do take the nav, they dont have the code. theifs, at least good ones, know that factory stereos have codes so they wont even try.

Yes, we dont want you guys to be leaving them in your manuals or armrests. So if your dealer didnt tell you about the Navi/Radio codes that he/she left in your manual package...please take them out and hide them under your couch....

Uhhhmmmm yeah if you haven't read your manual 5 times by now, you are NOT an Si ADDICT

Sorry but the code is also in the car, regardless of where your manual and the little card it came with are placed. I won't disclose where for security reasons <.<

If you guys are talking about the sticker in the glove, I think everyone with a navi should remove that sticker. It's pretty easy to see from the driver's seat when the glove is open.

Some dealers (not all) will either put the radio/navi code sticker inside the glove box, or on the trunk lid. It's handy for the customer but a little too handy for a thief in my opinion.

I'd peel it off and stick it back on the card and then put the card in a safe place, if it were me.

btw, if you lose the code, and have to jump-start your car (or buy a new battery), you'll have to call your dealer and prove ownership but they can look it up for you.

There is a guy on ebay who will sell you the code. You send him the serial number and he sends you the unlock code.

You can't worry about the car getting broken into.
