Has anyone installed these speakers in their 06 SI? Do they fit in front and back? According to the manual, mounting depth is 2-1/16" (53mm).

They should fit just fine being a tinch over 2". That's not deep at all. Worst you woul;d have to do is sometimes Honda puts a plastic backing and you would have to cut a little of that out.

BTW - You plan on havina an amp to power these right? Otherwise you're wasting your time if you're just going to be powering them with a weak stock HU.

They're obviously going to be better speakers than stock, but they might not be louder. I read in another forum that someone thought the stockers were 92dB/W speakers, and that's what the Reference Infinity's rating is. The Kappas are rated at 94dB/W, so if they fit, that would be the way to go for a guaranteed improvement in quality and volume while sticking with the stock HU.

Definitely getting an amp, it's 5-channel in fact, powering my front and rear speakers, plus a new sub bridged. Won't have any problems with power. Oh ya, also getting a capacitor 1 farad, for those "peaks". I think I'll have a pretty good setup.

I just wanted to make sure that the 6012i speakers can fit in the front doors and the rear. The depth as I mentioned earlier is just a little over 2 inches.

Anyone, please feel free to comment...!

Running aftermarket speakers that have an RMS of 40-50 off of the HU's power is plain inane. There is a reason speakers have an RMS rating.

You dont need a capacitor, they are overrated and do very little to help. The best way you can help dimming and the such is doing the Big 3.
