other than those pictures looking totally epic, how can u not have damaged anything on the underside going through all those jagged rocks? everything under there looks pretty damn exposed. maybe there should be options for skid plates or covers of some sort. oh and btw my gf said "thats hot"

Honestly, we damaged nothing. Wait until you see our off-road videos. The Ridge is one tough truck!

My fiancee hates it but I suspect it will be my next vehicle anyway. I'm very anxious to see the video and any additional pics!

Has she been in one?
Take her for a ride in a Tacoma, and then in a Ridgeline, I suspect she'll "get it" after that.

Can't wait to see the video's ryan, don't keep us in suspense!

Have you taken many other vehicles off roading and have a good base to compare the Ridgeline to? I'm assuming the ride height is the main limiting factor preventing you from going on more harsh paths, would this be correct?

Does the FWD biased AWD system seem to have any weekness's in low traction dirt? Or can you keep the RWD turned on all the time?

Yes you can lock the VTM-4(4wd) in 1st, 2nd, and reverse. So as long as your not going 50mph you would have no problem in just about any terrain.

She's not really a car person, so it's not as if she has a beef against the Ridgeline for being different -- I think it's more that the Ridgeline LOOKS different.

Nope, haven't taken any other vehicles off-road for testing. I know that's pretty narrow-minded, but we just don't have the resources. Honestly, though, we took the Ridge through some pretty knarly stuff without any problems. If you can find stuff you'll need to traverse that's any tougher, I suggest a Hummer or moving closer to your destination!

We drove the Ridge in VTM-4 Lock and VSA off most of the time when off-road.

When accelerating, the AWD system in the ridgeline always applies power to the rear. It only "becomes" FWD if the conditions permit, ie no lose of traction etc etc.
