This Accord has side moldings, somthing Honda has been leaving off it's cars for years now(for coupes)...do you think they are standard equipment again or still an option?

I think the moldingings are just "camoflauge" -- hmm, never tried to spell that one before! Anyway, just like the tape over the rear lights, just something to throw you off a bit if you see the thing before it's released...

I truly doubt the 06 coupe will have side moldings at all. Which, of course, "is a good thing," as I despise those things....

That's funny...i actually wish that Honda would start putting them on as standard equipment again. I don't like the current "optional" ones, as they look like they are just stuck on as an afterthought...but I like the older ones that looked more incorporated with the car('96-00 Civics). I would have far fewer dings on my Hondas if they still had them.

They are optional. As with the civic's. My mom had them added to her civic.

bodyshops have got to love it. almost every manufactor's is leaving them off. Dealers are now selling what used to be free.
and the few cars that do have them have very small, not well integrated ones that over the least protection, not like the early 90's late 80's when they were designed into the doors and really did protect it.
oh well that's progress.
