It's stunts like this that keep Acura down from playing in the premium car game.

I can accept a stick on, two tone kit for a Honda. But this is Acura, it shouldn't be a kit but a new bumper and side sill come from a new mold.

Mazda is doing that on 3 and 6. MB never have stick on kits. It's time Acura learn fromt these people.

I know there are finanical reasons to do a stick on. But last I check OEM kits ain't that cheap anyway and I'm sure doing a new mold won't cost them that much more.

Should Acura B-Spec look like this?

Now that's sweet and something worthy of Acura name.

With a cheapo "body-kit" they've thrown on. Except for the rims - its horrible.

The only crowd this pacakge will appeal to are the 16-21 range - and Acura clearly is trying to go upmarket. What a shot in the foot...

FYI...
While I can't comment on the cost of a fascia mold, we purchase rocker tooling for upwards of $500K USD (including the mould's, fixtures, paint line racks etc.), I would be surprised if tooling for a whole package could be less than $1.5M USD... lots of $$$ for limited volumes.
(I work for the plastics division of a multinational auto parts supplier) I agree that this TSX looks like a POS... but thought you should know that you are incorrect in saying that a new mold won't cost that much more.
