Will an engine out of a 89 Accord swap into a 92 without nay problems? What other engines will work in the 92 with an auto tranny?

I'd go for a Prelude engine. H22 preferably.

I already have an 89 with a good engine, just wondering if the swap would be fairly simple or if the electronics, wiring or anything else would be a complication.

Unless the two engine's were the exact weight and dimensions it is not as easy as it sounds. However it may be as easy as buying some other mounting brackets/hardware, and maybe a wiring harness.

However the swap you describe isn't very common or popular so these parts probably arn't sold, and it will be quite a hassle to make brackets, etc. yourself.

Although I may be wrong, are they the same engine? I know the body style of the two cars is different and with a new generation accord would likely come a new engine.

If I was in your shoes I would probably sell both accords and just buy a certified preowned one. But then where's the fun in that.

I'm not sure, but I believe that many states are pretty tough about sticking an older model year engine in a newer model year chassis. Even if it is the exact same motor.

The 3rd gen 89 Accord has the A20 and the 92 4th gen 'had' a f22. Wouldn't be an easy swap.

Correct. Having owned an '88 Accord in the past, I was curious about swaps. Nearly everything in the engine bay is different as of 1990. The transmission, half shafts, engine, dimensions etc etc.
