How far to lower RSX    (Score: 1, Normal) 03-17-2004 18:43

I have a 2003 RSX. I just purchased 18x8" HP Design Lightnings for the car. The rim has 38 offset with a tire size 0f 225/40. My question is how far can the car be lowered if at all without rubbing with its 38 offset. What is an acceptable drop level that will make the car look hot. Thanks!

I have 18x7.5 +43 offset on my car... I am also running gold line springs.. my drop is around 1.5" all around.. I have no wheel gap in the rear and a tiny bit in the front.. I could go lower.. As far as +38 offset, I have never seen an RSX with that low of an offset. The stock offset is +45.. I think a 1.75 inch drop looks the best.. no wheel gap what so ever, but not slammed.. If I had to do it over again I would do coil-overs.. Then you can adjust for track days and street driving.. As soon as my struts blow, that is what I am going to.. I didn't totally answer your question.. but I am not really sure with a +38 offset..
