Would you guys trade in a 2001 CRV SE (no more warranty)for a 2000 Integra 4 door certified GSR ( 40K miles with a 7/100K extended warranty from Acura? Let me know what you think.

Generally I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the GS-R, but what are your specific needs?

Hey thanks for chiming in Jeff. Well here's the dillyo. This is my wife's car. Before the CRV, she had a 98 GSR sedan which she loved. It was stolen in 2001, so we opted for the 2001 CRV SE, which she was never fond of in the first place. We just bought it because of the kids. Well the CRV is now 2 1/2 years old and needing new tires and some other maintenance and is out of warranty. It has 45K miles after 2 1/2 years. Now we have found a 2000 GSR Sedan, white/ dark grey leather just like our 98 and it's Acura Certified with only 40K miles and very very clean. Mind you we only have two small kids and a SUV even a mini SUV was not needed and is still not needed nor is it any fun. This GSR has about 5000 less miles than my wife's CRV. So my question is, does any of this make any economical and/or good sense? Trading in an 01 CRV SE with no more warranty and isn't any fun for a certified 00 GSR sedan with almost 10K miles left on the factory warranty + 12K miles warranty on entire car + 60K miles more on the Acura extended warranty and very very fun. I'm wanting to jump on the GSR before it's gone but I want to approach my wife with all the info. You guys know how it is. Thanks for the input.

I would trade for the GSR if you aren't going to take a huge financial hit. I myself was trying to find a way to unload my 00 Civic coupe to get a new Si or a used Prelude SH. After realizing I couldn't pull it off financially (don't lease a car if you're planning on buying it at some point!), I had to abandon hope. I love the Civic, but a new Si or the Prelude would have made me forget that real quick!

How often in life can you go back to a car you have loved and lost? I say go for the GSR provided you can take the financial hit (assuming there is one.)

When it comes to hauling kids (I have three of my own) I think a small sedan and small SUV are comparable. As far as ease of entry/exit and spaciousness go, neither vehicle can compare to a minivan.
