Start bringing excitement back.

Honda's performance image established in the early 90s has been tarnished by competitors.

RSX, Civic are all blah. Accords are ugly and screwed up big time on the exterior design. There isn't a single Honda that I would consider to be not embrassed to be in except S2000. And don't get me started on the riced up one.

but S2000 has aged. NSX has aged well beyond it's welcome. There are no flagships that make people want a Honda.

Look at Nissan, people are buying 350Z and G35c like they are being given away for free. SUV lovers are going for FX45 and Murano. With GT-R on it's way, Nissan's product on-slaught make Honda looks like it's sitting still.

I do consider the new TSX and TL is heading in the right direction. And I hope Honda's new NSX will jazz up it's image like the RX8 and 350Z did to Mazda and Nissan.

Honda-D is absolutely right. The marketing people at Honda are asleep at the switch. In general, Honda styling comes out with stodgy looking and/or plain incoherent aesthetic designs. Even the TSX and TL pale in comparison with the G35 coupe, or Audis to name just two. Why does the belt line have to slope so radically; that will be passe in just a few years. What about bring out a full time 4WD version. I used to be a Honda fan, but for the last 7 years had owned a Maxima, and it may not be as refined as and Accord, but it sure is more robust and trouble free.

Ditto on the racing front; they're struggling. Look at F1; in IRL they've resorted to badge engineering. Their great engineers of yore: Goto, Irimajiri and Kawamoto, are retired. It's not looking too promising at the moment, but I hope that it will change soon, because it's sad to see what's happening to a great name.
