Whatever it is, I hope it's doing into production. It would be a candidate to replace my F150.

Off road? Forget it, must make it more useful. How many people really use their trucks off road, anyhow?

(1) 6" longer cabin
(2) 5" longer rear door with 90 deg swing
(3) 12" longer bed
(4) locking tailgate in BE and upper trims
(5) thinner trim on back doors to allow three across. It's too tight right now.
(6) Boeing 777 like reclining rear seats (seat bottom moves forward).
(7) Low profile, easier to use, hard tonneau latches (*)
(8) Swing stop on tailgate when opened sideways. (**)

(*) As it is now, the hard tonneau cover restricts the opening of the "trunk" lid. In this position the in trunk lights do not reach into the trunk. So, you have to unlatch the rear third of the tonneau and fold it out of the way. Seems to me like some designers missed some team meetings over at AHM.

(**) I park my truck on a slight incline. Facing downhill. The damn tailgate won't stay in place and has slammed into me several times. It's a GD heavy door when it hits you. I've used a stick several times, jammed in there somewheres, to keep the fricking thing in place.

How the heck could Honda have missed that?

There are a few items about the Ridgeline that reflect, IMHO, a lack of synchronization between the design teams.

Sad, because the truck, for my needs, is damn near perfection for what I need for a truck.

The number one fix for me is the rear door opening. It needs to open further so you can get larger items back there.

I think the cabin is fine. I do think they need spring loaded cup holders like all other Hondas have.

My tailgate stays open on an incline. I tested that out camping a few weekends ago.
