Hey Jeff, seems like you gave up this?

What's the story?

I am not Jeff, but maybe because too many predictions of sporty offerings never materialized? It has been frustrating with Honda/Acura for the past, say, 12 years.

However, it would be good to update the matrix with the collective knowledge and best guesses at the time.

It does seem like Honda has gone more mainstream with their offerings the last few years,
and a model release matrix probably would not show much upcoming for the enthusiast.

A recent check indicated my local dealer had no stick shifts in inventory out of 400 some-odd cars, although the Si and CTR still exist. The 2019 Civic EX with 1.5T, only comes with CVT.

Seeing the HRV toddling on with the 1.8 at MMC and the Si with the 1.5T, it appears that Honda is not too concerned about front-line performance for the biggest majority of their models.

I notice that little Mazda is now going to offer the 2.5T in the 2019 CX-5 upper trim levels, which ought to have plenty of power.
