Probably one of the greatest races in history.

I won't say anything else hoping that some of you can still watch around the world without being spoiled.

If you can, watch it, because motorsports rarely get any better, specially at the top of the world.

Simply a joy to watch, though quite the nail biter with all the hard racing between the lead group.

If you don't typically watch, do yourself a favor and watch this race, if you are disappointed, then MotoGP and motorsports in general are not for you.

To the observant you could see Marquez was riding within himself, often carrying a tighter line than his fellow competitors, and seemingly well in control under braking and on turn in - very un-Marquez like! :) Other than when he fought Vinales of course!!

And of course there was always the possibility that when he did "turn up the wick" it wouldn't be enough, but......... Going to watch it again. :)

The dude put just enough pressure on the other dude to make him wear out his front tire all while preserving his softy soft rear and then played games with the field at the end.

Related, being MotoGP news and not a race result, was it mentioned on here yet about Dani calling it a day come the final race at Valencia? Most thought he was going to the satellite Yamaha team. Also, if you happened to catch the HRC debrief on Friday, it was said by Kuwata-san that Dani told the team he was leaving them come the end of the year and not that the team went looking elsewhere first and signed JL squeezing Dani out of a ride.

sadlerau, just saw you did make a post concerning Dani's pending retirement. Zero replies, nobody cares about Dani on ToV. :P Like you, didn't really want to see him go away from the sport altogether, but he just does not seem to have the speed this season and I'm guessing he realized it himself and decided to hang it up. Hoping he can get at least 1 win to give him 17 straight seasons with at least 1 victory.

Yeah I'm a little surprised at the general lack of interest in MotoGP on here. I suppose their not all tragics like some of us :)

As for Pedrosa, nice guy and all, but really his last couple of seasons have been sub par, and I would have thought he would have been replaced already in a normal situation. Not sure what pull he had with the team management that allowed him to stay as long as he did?

Sure he had injuries, some not of his making, but it's a brutal sport at the top of the tree, in any sphere, and for him to stay up there for so long........

I think it speaks well of Honda to have retained Dani for this long...allowing it to be his decision, as to when to leave. He must have been an asset to the engineers for feedback on bike development. And he must have been well-liked.

c'mon people, there were 14 posts on ''
It's official: Pedrosa leaving HRC team '' topic. :)
regarding last race, it was joy to watch as mm overtook jorge and went into the distance. cal fall again.
regarding pedrosa, he is something like kimi in f1 in last few years. he had to go imho few years ago.
anyway next week I am at spa 24 hours, cheering for castrol honda gt3!
also there was article on motorsport about aston martin possibly entering dtm in 2020, and they mentioned hartley as one of potential drivers (aston-red bull connection).

Yes we knew he was leaving HRC, but not retiring from the sport until he announced it ahead of the German race. Most people thought for sure he was going to join the new satellite Yamaha team.
