Ocon, Gasly, and Vettel had too much of the circuit builder main selling product, in their veins, perhaps?

Hopefully, they will not be too much distracted by

In Austria next week end...

They both look yummy Mik. :)

Knowing that they still aren't running this new engine fully optimized it occurs to me that the Honda PU is putting out power equal to or ever so slightly ahead of Renault.

I agree. Furthermore, now that Toro Rosso-Honda will be going to two tracks (in the next two weeks) for which they have previous experience and significant data (unlike the Paul Ricard circuit), they will be able to further optimize their latest PU and gain performance (also taking into account any preliminary findings from the investigation of Hartley's PU which was sent back to HondaRacingF1 in Japan).

True, but I think that historical data has more to do with chassis setup. As long as the PU is being run with varying loads it's more about mileage than circuit. If I'm Honda and I still have engine modes that are unused or have only been used a little bit, I'm still holding back in light of HAR's issue (and because of PU element allocations). Once that's resolved then I'm back on my in-car development path; hopefully that's what we see this weekend.

got back yesterday. we had a very good time. didn't have much problems in traffic. regarding honda, highlight was to see surtees winning car on display in marseille and talk to honda herigate man about it and some other subjects. button and fukuzumi will drive it in goodwood.
honda's motorhome was parked at the beginning of the paddock, right by the f1 trucks.

Of course I forgot you were there zeko! You must post some photos.......

You didn't find getting to and from the circuit difficult? All the press I've read says it was a nightmare??

photos and report (on croatian) are coming around summer break.
regarding traffic, i was terrified after reading what happend on friday. we went there on saturday and sunday. lost one hour to get out from parking on sunday. apart from that, nothing to serious, or not something that you don't 'experience' on other tracks.
after friday they changed (improved) traffic around the track.
