Recent articles have been quoting Kia stating the GT2 trim is their best seller, which is kind of crazy. I interpret that to mean that they actually are getting folks from the German marques shopping laterally/down in price rather than typical mid-size sedan shoppers getting aspirational. Personally I've only seen 1 4-cyl model, but a handful of the V6s. Sort of the opposite mix I see of Accords, where all but 2 have been the 1.5, and mostly LX trim.

Kia has excellent lease deals on these. I drove a GT2 a couple weeks ago. Between the lease incentive and dealer discount the price was around $42K with a retail price of $50K. I checked the Stinger forum and a lot of people are leasing and buying the car out to get the lease incentive.

Of the four I've seen in my immediate area, 3 have been GT2 in red, blue and slate gray.

Kia might be on to something. I've had a few customers driving premium cars (cadillacs, audis - one of them relatively old too - 60+) ask if I've had any Stingers in yet. They're all pretty interested in the V6TT. They comment on the looks, the value, and the on paper performance (hence asking about dyno results to confirm).

Meaning older people shouldn't inquire about sports sedans?

Or does the word old offend you?

Enlighten me. I await with bated breath.

Well young folks, I'm 71 and I love fast cars. My 2015 Accord Coupe {yes, coupe) with V6 does me fine. Age should be no factor in buying a car. Its what that person wants for themselves..

BTW, some cars I had, 87 Buick GN, 1988 Madza 323GT with HKS speed upgrades, Chev Z28, etc.

So happy right foot!!

By the way, guys. I am well past the age bracket under discussion. All this is in good humor..

And I'm closing in on it. I'm just waiting to see if I misinterpreted the original complainant's post, or if we're in SJW/snowflake territory here.

I have seen a few Stingers running around (all GT's) and they are actually pretty cool. They are a little big for my tastes, but they look better in person. It is one of the reasons I look forward to the Genesis G70. All the boosted V6 goodness, but with a better looking envelope and more quality.

Off topic, but I have also seen a gaggle of Civic Type-R's, Si's and Sport hatches lately. Seems like a lot of people are DD'ing their CTRs.
