Looks like we've decided on a Clarity PHEV. The car pool sticker is the kicker. They are good until 1/1/22

Now we need to figure out if she'll go the one year internal lease or if we'll buy it to get a hold of that $7500 tax credit. It turns out that the IRS has gone nuts on the inputted income assessed on those one year leases and they imputed number is higher than the actual payments she makes, so at the end of the year we got royally screwed in income taxes. After taxes, we end up paying almost as much for the "benefit" than just buying it. (Yep, that's why those old two year leases were a much better deal, trust me).

The only constrain is that we want a lease for at least 20,000 miles per year. So we may end up buying it.

Phew... they changed the rules on HOV stickers... We're grandfathered so we will need to get a RED sticker.

Decided NOT to get the PHEV. I want a car for occasional highway cruising and the PHEV only has a 280 mile range (with the battery depleted).

So, we ordered ANOTHER Black Mamba.

Lemme see... three TSX Wagons in a row, three RDXs in a row... two Black Mambas in a row. I hate the one year leases, they are expensive and useless.
