Surprised to see the lower front clip from the concept make it to production. Maybe this is the A-Spec? Wheels look good.

Also...does anyone else kind of like the fully blacked out details?

Interesting. From the wheels it almost looks like a non A-spec trim level. As I recall the A-Spec is getting 20's and those look like 18s or maybe 19s.

No improvement - Acura kept the misalignment between grille and LED headlights on production model! Oh well...them the shakes! Better designers will hopefully come to the rescue of Acura one day!

This is my final comment on Acura for a while.

Yeah good call on the wheels...and I guess the front clip really is just an evolution of the MDX front clip - just something about it seemed unlikely to make it to production.

This can't get here soon enough for Acura dealers.

Those are nice looking wheels though! I'm glad they are not some overwrought directional ones.

No misalignment. It's aligned as it should be.

It's this (below). Note there is no real common anchor point for the graphics/features. That said, I still kind of like it despite the fact they didn't anchor or flow it into other elements.

Say what you will about the car but an example of where they got this right was the pre-MMC TLX. "Lines" created by the headlights, grill, and hood all flow together.

Contrast that to the post-MMC TLX where the DPG appears disproportionate and grafted on.

Miss mash comes to mind, or the pommy version, a dog's breakfast.

I believe they are trying to combine organic (non parallel) elements with geometric which the eye tends to want things to align. A nose is not parallel with cheek or jaw lines either. I'm ok with them not being parallel in a three dimensional object. Exterior is a bit too geometric for my taste, but ok with results. I do like Mazda designs too. The germans and british (ok indian) are moving away from angular to more organic expression while japanese design is keeping these geometric shapes in their signature design.

Smaller than the Lexus NX. Think HRV size.

That actually doesn't look bad, the concept was vomit!
