Besides the Shell station in Torrance which is piped directly to the Torrance Shell refinery... the hydrogen in SoCal is made by Air Products. They run directly quite a few stations (UCI) and sell it for $14.99 per Kg.

Some of the other stations are run by True Zero, but they charge more, around $16.99.

I spoke with the driver of the H2 delivery truck and he told me that True Zero buys their H2 from Air Products, hence their markup.. "because they got to make some money too".

There are proposals to install a couple of H2 stations by FirstElement Fuel in Irvine and Huntington Beach along the 405 but they are "in review" by the state.

WTF does the state take so long? It's been like that for months. They ought to let private industry do it and it would be done by now....

What? Let the free market decide and miss an opportunity for state extortion? Never...

I live in Calimexistan.

Our Soviet Republic is run by the apparatchiks in the Duma and Politburo in Sacramentograd, the politicks of the Five Year Plans are diktated by the Party nomenklatura in San Franciskovich.

The rest of the state, not even The Gulags in Berkeley, have any say on how the place is run.

Our last General election for the US Senate offered us a choice of two.... yep.... two progressive far left democrats. A true Soviet Style election. What a choice! Thank You Comrade Moonbeampopof.

We, in NorCal, MidCal, SoCal are just their serfs or illegals.

We really need a revolution.

I'm typically pro-free market, but I also have the understanding that if it wasn't for some government intervention, you would still have lead in your paint, uranium in your dishes, airplanes would crash daily and if your local taco truck favorite wanted to serve you sewer rat because you couldn't tell the difference it would be fine by them.

In reality, a balance of the two is required.
