2017 is a banner year for bringing home the hardware. Congrats to Honda and have fun parading through the Acura groups with your trophies. Honestly a 1.5L CVT in a CUV winning best of the year is nearly the accomplishment as a Civic being Performance Car of the Year. Amazing, amazing, amazing engineers. Mr. Honda would be proud.

See that's the problem. You are describing attributes in an SUV that don't matter: engine size and transmission.

The CR-V is much more than just that. And the 1.5T + CVT work really well in this car, extremely well. If you want to walk into the CR-V with a 17 year old's mentality and complain about how it drives, you're in the wrong car: go to a 1991 Civic EX with a fart can.
