2nd Gen TSX OEM Floor Mats    (Score: 1, Normal) 11-16-2017 15:56

I bought a used 2012 TSX Sport Wagon and need to get some floor mats. Do you guys know if the OEM floor mats (not the ALL WEATHER) have the rubber backing with the nubs? I prefer the carpet.

I was going to buy a good condition used set on eBay but the guy says the OEM floor mats don't have the rubber backing.

What floor mats do you recommend? doesn't have to be OEM.

Any help is appreciated.

I looked at the two dealerships I've bought parts from online and found neither have the carpeted mats listed. I haven't looked at the TSX mats but the mats for our RDX and MDX have both had a rubber coated-fiber underside rather than a true rubber layer with nubs. Which is better than the mats for my Accords which have been closer to bath mats.

I bought a set of carpeted mats for my last Accord from this source and was pleased.

I'd pick the berber option if I buy from them again. Also, I've been thinking of buying a set of cocoa mats for my current Accord.

They bring back memories of the cocoa mat ads in the back of the magazines back in the day with the photos of the BMWs and Porsches. They're still made of coconut husk fibers and I haven't owned a set of them so I've no idea of how long they will last. They look cool though.

The carpeted mats don't have the rubber nubs. Mine came with the carpeted mats and the all weather mats. I left the all weather mats in, on top of the carpeted mats. It makes cleaning easier.

We order the all weather mats along with the car so dealer often doesn't even bother to install the carpeted mats and they stay in the trunk within their factory plastic bag...

As much as I like the looks of the carpeted mats, I've grown to prefer the all weather mats. They do make things MUCH easier to clean. Even in rainy SoCal....

The other thing is - if you wear dress shoes when you drive - the heels will put holes in the carpeted mats pretty quickly.

I'm probably on driver's side floor mat #5 in the S2000 - I think I'm gonna to start driving in my socks, Honda discontinued the mats...
