It is refreshing to see an interview with someone who doesn't seem like they are double talking, avoiding the question, or trying to sell snake oil like some of their higher PR/Management people do.

He was very direct, concise, answered the questions clearly and protected information where he needed to.

I understand that these aren't strategic future product discussions, but it is nice to just get a clear, well spoken answer and description that usually can be had from the engineers or LPL's.

Acura is a good example. Part of how Honda gets themselves into pickles is to promise the world and then not deliver. If they want to build, soft, cushy, sedans for old people who don't want any kind of sport, then say so.

I have been pleased with their handling of the Accord, Pilot and Civic debuts, and this seems like it will be a big homer as well in the "enthusiast" department. I hope this is because Honda has finally seen the writing on the wall.

Yeah, my first exposure to Mr. Hwang was his appearance on Autoline that Bullwinkle and Potenza brought to our attention about two weeks ago. I was very impressed by him for exactly the reasons you cite.

Great interview. The guy seems very personable. Connects well and is very knowledgeable without being a boring stiff. Really liked the interview. Hopefully he will do the interview for the SI when they are ready. Thats one of the cars I am looking forward to hear about and see.
