You know, much as we are all [well most of us at least] breathlessly awaiting the final specs of the NSX v2, the most important thing will be how it translates onto the road, as a driver's car, which is where the NSX v1 excelled.

The seamlessness of SH-AWD and the advantages it gives to a chassis like the Legend are all and good, but I worry whether Honda/Acura have been able to achieve the same magic with eSH-AWD?? It has to be seamless and transparent to the driver or it wont be well received. How many days left before the drive event - and more importantly before the feedback becomes public?

Who knows?

All I can see is another page of words from Honda.

In the words of Kurt Cobain, 'who needs actions when you got words?'

I attended Pebble Beach last year and while there was an Acura hospitality booth on the concourse their presence was somewhat light. Even Hyundai and Kia had displays on the grounds leading into the event (along with McLaren, Cadillac, Lexus, and Infiniti).

For any car enthusiast I'd strongly suggest going. It's an absolutely incredible experience. Even if you don't splurge for a concours ticket just spend some time in and around Carmel during the week/weekend.

Yeah, try to drive around in a dark green '75 Vega with AT plus the concomitant smoke screen following you and see how many times you get pulled over by the cops.

OTOH, when Kia and Hyundai set up booths at Pebble Beach you know they whole thing has jumped the shark.

I remember when the TL 6spd with SHAWD came out and was in a comparison - it performed as well as if not better than everything. But it didn't have quite the "feel" of the BMW (and the Audi in another comparison). I think it won the comparison but it wasn't the most fun.

The NSX has to have big numbers yes, but if that's all it has, then Acura truly has lost the plot. It needs to be feelsome and fast. With all that tech, the less analog, the less feel it will potential have. With a few exceptions, sure all supercars have been moving in that direction...Hopefully Claus will back up his statements and make this car fun, not just fast.

Soon grasshopper. My friend of 30yrs helped load the 2 NSX's heading to the left coast for this event. One black and one blue, as he put it the black one caused him to call his doctor because it gave him an erection that lasted over 4 hours :)

Unrelated but there will be a TLX on display too
