The A is from 1984. 1.6L-2.0L A1-A4 form. 1.8L found in the Prelude, 2.0L in the Accord. Carbureted and Fuel Injected.

I didn't think Honda would ever resurrect an engine name.

It has been nearly 25 years since the A series was used.

According to Wikipedia the A 1.6 L has a bore of 80mm and a stroke of 79.5 mm.

I'm guessing this modern day A15B will have a bore of 73mm and a stroke of 89.4mm. Just like the L15B.

Sadly you are probably right, Jeff. The engine will probably be designed for maximum FE over its useable range. It doesn't sound like it will be running wild boost if it is only putting out 150hp and 150ft-lbs.

I can see the use of that dual boost turbo for this application.

I should clarify that my guess is based upon the assumption that BestCar got the displacement number right. 73x89.4 bore x stroke works out to exactly 1496cc. There are mathematically other ways to achieve it, of course, but it's just a strong guess that it will use the same geometry.
