Hard for me to get excited about something not sold over here, but important info anyway.

Well, think about this... when the Civic Euro Type R got the K20, you have it on the Civic Si, and so does the K24 on the current gen Si. What makes you think the VTEC Turbo won't be coming to the Civic Si?

I'm pretty sure AHM is very eager to get their hands on the VTEC Turbo and the closest proxy for the Euro R is the Si. The Si is a dead horse now, it has been surpassed by all of its competitor, and the refresh timing is just right on the money. A potent engine on the next gen Si will heal the ego of AHM management on the performance side.

I just hope that those eco-weenies don't try to short change us with the 200 h.p., 1.5T for the Si.

Like was mentioned, the Si hasn't been a contender for years.

Let's hope! I'm probably stupid, but hopeful the new CTR motor will land in a refreshed ILX shown in LA this fall.

typer, while they are at it, they should bring the SH-AWD to go with the motor.
Price it at $35,995 and they will sell every one they can make.

What am I saying, this is Honda we are talking about.
Daydream over. Sigh....

As is no, I thought Acura made it clear they want to shun away from the boy racer image? Hidden exhaust and everything. Probably even if it came to Acura side, it will be heavily neutered... 200ish bhp. Still good though, the torque would be fantastic. Honda can take the burden for being a boy racer, so why not a 240 bhp Civic Si?

Other than perhaps a turbo resize for more mid-range, different calibration and less blatty intake/exhaust, there's nothing about the engine that makes it "boy racer" per se. I think it would be a nice in between step for the K24 and J35.

I think the previous Acura management made that decision. The new management actually wants to try to sell cars and seems more open to performance options (e.g. TLX Type S). I wouldn't count out a ILX Type S, though I'd prefer they sell the CTR as is.

I just don't understand why Honda insists in teasing us with a fantastic concept and then the production model is hugely toned down.

You're absolutely right. But I think everyone here was hoping that the one bit they kept on the car would be the "devil horns" taillights. Getting rid of that sort of reduced the exterior character of the car. And I might be wrong here but I thought I saw Rolled saying that they might keep the devil horns on the production model, but who knows

The 'devil horn' lights doesn't meet code(law) so they're trying to get to close as possible.

The middle brake lite isn't high enough from the side rear lights.

I knew it! Excuses, excuses...deeply disappointing, but I'm not surprised. The rear lights are probably the ugliest part of the Euro Civic. Center brake light not high enough when compared to side rear lights? It's got to be at least two feet above the bottom strip of lights!!!

If it's too close to the side lights then keep the shape of the devil horn spoiler, just don't put brake lights in the 'horns'...put reflectors or driving lights up top...

Doesn't seem to be a problem for the Fit...

Unless once considers most modern cars are so very fugly.

In which case, Honda's very good at it. That Jizz'z arse, for example.
