TOVA Exclusive : Tech Overview JDM Civic TYPE R K20A Engine

The Civic TYPE R is coming to Malaysia ! Honda Malaysia, a small Honda office in a small country has just done something huge. They succeeded in getting approval for selling the original JDM-spec FD2 Civic TYPE R as an official model in the domestic line-up. This is something no other Honda country office has succeeded in doing over the 15 years since Honda gave us the amazing TYPE-R ! In conjunction with this monumental event, TOVA is running a techincal overview series of this incredible machine. The first article is a short technical overview of the K20A Spec R engine used on the FD2 Civic TYPE-R, using materials from the Honda media service.
