Formula Xtreme this year was basically no contest since none of the other factories opted to contend the class. However, it was a hard fought battle down to the very last lap to determine which of the American Honda riders would take the title, with Miguel Duhamel barely edging out Jake Zemke to defend his title.

In Superbike Duhamel and Zemke finished 5th and 11th in the championship with a best finish of 2nd for Duhamel at Mid Ohio (race 13 of 17).

For next season Honda will not be fielding an effort in Formula Xtreme, leaving the honors to satelitte team Erion Honda to defend the manufacturer's title there. In superbike the rider lineup will remain the same and they'll have the newly updated CBR1000RR to take on the factory teams from Suzuki, Ducati, and now Kawasaki and possibly Yamaha. Judging from the improving results late in the season here and abroad in World Superbike, the Honda boys should be in good shape for 2006.
