Temple of VTEC Rumors and News - Just a bit more on the CR-Z

We don't have any new photos today, but TOV member 'hnsxr' paid a visit to a local Honda dealer himself and had a look at the catalog. Apparently these catalogs were sent to dealers a few days ago, but they are not permitted to distribute them, so he was unable to get any better images of the pages. He does offer the following report, however.

I went to a Honda dealer after the job,and had a chance to see a brochure
which was same as leaked images.
I wish I could take that out to my house and scan images, but I couldn't.Sorry.
I looked for the information of its weight, but unfortunately there was nothing described, and no one knew about that.
As you can see the images, there are two grades,alpha and beta,and the differences between them are...

By the way, japanese enthusiasts' reaction is same as TOV members.
Many of them are disappointed to know the power of CR-Z.
Some likes only its styling and they don't care about specs,
and I, a CR-X EF8 owner, am very disappointed...

but anyway, I'm looking forward to take a ride.

I tried clearing this up with 'hnsxr' but haven't heard back yet. From what I can tell, it appears that the approximate pricing is listed next to the descriptions for the alpha and beta models, with the beta possibly starting at 2.2 Million Yen (roughly US$24,900 @ the current 88.28 Yen/$ exchange) and the higher-range alpha model going for 2.5 Million Yen (roughly US$28,430). We have been unable to verify whether or not this is actually pricing information. Weight figures don't seem to have been listed anywhere, but according to chatter on some of the Japanese message boards, they are talking about weight in the range of 1220-1240kg, which translates to a range of roughly 2690-2730lbs.
