Over on Car and Driver's blog (wait, they have a blog?), John Watts (Acura's Senior Manager of Product Planning) is quoted as saying that Acura is closely considering adding a wagon variant to the TSX lineup. Over the years, we've asked Acura and Honda product planners about the possibility of getting some wagons (or A wagon) here in the US, and the response has generally been that wagons were not on their radar. So it would be an understatement to say that this is an interesting development.

Car and Driver points out that the easiest path for Acura would be to simply rebadge the Accord Tourer and call it a TSX Wagon. We tend to agree but assuming this direction is taken, the critical question would concern timing. Would it get here as soon as model year 2011? That's just a year out and may seem a bit soon, but 2012 will be the 4th year of an assumed 5-year cycle.
