First we had the disfigured S2000 serving as a supposed mule for the next-generation NSX, now we have a chopped and channeled 2009 TSX allegedly serving as a mule for the 2011 RL. If the rumors prove to be true, the next RL will bow in 2010 with (finally!) an FR drivetrain layout and V8 power. Recent rumors have pegged the V8 at 4.8L and around 420hp, but at this point I wouldn't put a lot of faith in those figures. SH-AWD will almost certainly be a part of the equation but we're hopeful that Acura will also offer a regular FR (front engine, rear wheel drive) version. A 300hp V6 version would probably make a lot of sense too, unless Acura is planning to go that route with the next TL.
