Eagle-eyed Ohioan Sean Wolfe spotted this TL prototype undergoing testing over the weekend. Here you can clearly see that the '09 TL will have a keyless entry/ignition system. We have also heard that it will also have pushbutton start.

Interesting side note, perhaps: Do you remember last week when we posted the little video clip of Asimo conducting the Detroit Sympony Orchestra? And at the bottom of the newsitem, I quipped "Please, somebody snag some spy shots of the 2009 TL already, so we have something to talk about, sheesh.". Well, it seemed pretty odd that just a few days later we had a dozen spy shots in the inbox, but then I also received e-mails from several Detroiters who said they actually spotted at least two lightly camo'd '09 TLs parked near the event and driving around the area. I had heard earlier that there were a couple of '09 TLs being kept in Detroit, so if you live in the DTW area, be on the lookout.






UPDATE: I'm pretty sure that's a chrome strip on the lower portion of the decklid. I did a very quick and dirty photoshop so you can see what it might look like. Hopefully somebody with actual photoshop skills will make a cleaner version of that (and unmask the taillights) and send it to me :^)
UPDATE 2: With the post by 'mri1112' below, I've now heard from two insiders that claim there is no chrome strip on the lower portion of the rear decklid. In the source photo that we doctored up, it appeared that there was tape covering a chrome strip, as part of it was peeling up on the right corner. Perhaps this is part of an elaborate disguise, or perhaps there's a certain trim level with this strip.
