We just wanted to remind everybody that the press days for the Tokyo Motor Show open on Wednesday morning (Tokyo time) and we (Gerald Irish and myself) will be bringing you coverage live from the show (as live as our network connectivity will permit.) Honda will be showing off the sleek new CR-Z concept as well as a host of other exciting products. Of course, there will be other stuff of varying degrees of significance as well.

Tomorrow we will be getting our first taste of several sweet JDM Hondas that aren't offered here, including the all-new Civic Type R, the Honda Crossroad, and the turbocharged Honda Zest Sports. Additionally, we've heard that we'll also have our first chance to drive the FCX Concept as well as a JDM Accord powered by a prototype of Honda's next generation diesel engine. Tomorrow will involve quite a bit of traveling for us and it will be a very long day, so we can't promise that any updates will occur in the next 24 hours, but we'll do our best to get some form of update posted late in the evening (local time) tomorrow. Our schedule will once again be incredibly grueling this week, but we'll be loving every minute of it.

4:45AM A week in Tokyo is usually an exercise in acute sleep deprivation. With a national room temp of somewhere around 80F, it's also an exercise in acute perspiration. I thought maybe this time I might manage to get a full night's sleep before setting off on a day with 16 hours of activity scheduled. I was doing okay in that respect but as I fumbled around on the nightstand to turn down the in-room radio system, I actually twisted a knob that turned off the AC. So I woke up at 4:15AM in a pool of sweat wondering why my room got so hot. Then I realized that there was an "Air Conditioner" knob on my night stand and I had turned it all the way off. It sounds like a rookie mistake, but this is my fourth time in this particular hotel, so I have no excuse. It's now 0600 and I have to meet our group downstairs shortly, so here are a few more snapshots.
