A New CR-V Sketch from ホリデーオート

2007 CR-V Rendering

Civic Type R Rendering

New Mini-SUV Rendering

2008 Fit Rendering

2008 Accord Rendering

Here is the latest update from the June edition of ホリデーオート. No clue of how that translates into English, but it’s something like “HorideeOoto” (Holiday Auto??)

I went quickly through the lines and it did not seem to have much to say new or interesting regarding the expected models, but there were lots of pics and dates for new releases. Sorry for not taken more time for the translation, but I’m quite busy lately.

  • CR-V - 09/2006
  • Civic TypeR – 02/2007
  • New mini-SUV – 02/2007
  • Fit – 06/2007
  • Accord.- 09/2007

It seems though that the rumour of a Sedan Civic TypeR keeps on growing and growing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a slightly tuned Civic Si Sedan badged as a TypeR in Japan starting in 2007.

Also, maybe not so interesting for the overseas market but still new, is that the magazine says Honda will unveil new mini-SUV for Japan in 02/2007. For those not familiar with Japanese market, that means that it would be powered by a 660cc engine. As you can see, the render shows styling that's strikingly similar to the Element.

About the renders.

  • The Fit one seems to have been directly taken from current VW Polo, so I wouldn’t give it much credibility.
  • I think that the Accord is just pure speculation based on some family resemblance with the new Civic and some design clues taken from Sports4 concept.
  • The CR-V on the other side could be quite accurate. It seems to retake all the elements we’ve seen in previous renders, as well as in some early spy shots taken by an Australian magazine. But contrary to the first renders, this one seems much more finished, with a profile clearly similar to the RDX.

UPDATE - POLL ANNOUNCEMENT

As requested, we've set up a poll to see what everybody thinks of the CR-V design as depicted in this Holiday Automatic rendering. To vote in the poll, Click Here
