Several months ago we loaned the TOV Project Si to the editors of Sport Compact Car for a cover feature story they were working on. That issue has now made it to newsstands, so be sure to check it out.

SCC wanted to try out several flavors of tuner Sis, and ours was one of the few NA-tuned cars around. Word has it that they were also trying to get a turbocharged Si in addition to our car and Hasport's Supercharged K24 Si for the test, but supposedly few of the turbocharged tuner Sis were in an actual running state as of January. Even though our car is still a work in progress and wasn't quite optimized for the test, we're pretty happy with how it performed. Due to a last minute suspension change, our alignment was a bit out of whack and we're probably still about 10-15hp shy of our power targets, but considering the bolt on nature of our mods, we can't complain too much about a (traction-limited) low 14-second 1/4 mile pass, a supercar-like 73.1 mph slalom speed, and 101mph trap speed. We're still pretty confident that at our home test venue, we'll be able to get our 1/4 mile times down into the 13's.

We attended the St. Pete GP last year and it was a blast. While we've always been big fans of the Speed World Challenge Racing series, the IRL's first ever street circuit race was great to watch as well. We'll be there again this year, hopefully enjoying perfect racing weather once again and we hope to see some TOV readers out there as well.
